For a more precise landmark, look directly south of the main ski resort infrastructure and ski area. You will see a tight ribbon of asphalt twisting down the mountainside—that is your destination. Finding it is well worth the trip early on, as it serves as one of the major named landmarks required to unlock your Discover Japan career points.

The Norikura Skyline is far more than just a scenic backdrop; it is a major hub for technical racing and community meets. Here is what you need to look out for:

• The Norikura Descent Street Race: This is the flagship event on the mountain, serving as a premier downhill street racing hub right on the pass. Note that if you head over here and the event icon isn't showing up on your map, it is locked behind a minor progression step. You will need to complete the very first chapter of Yuki's Auto story over at the car mechanic shop to make the race map icon appear.
• Touge Challenges: If you love custom drift tunes, mountain battles, or tandem drifting with friends, this stretch of tarmac is arguably one of the best spots in the entire game. The continuous switchbacks require immaculate braking and weight-transfer control.
• Extreme Seasonality Changes: Because of the extreme verticality of this region, the weather completely shifts the driving dynamics. The lush green summer asphalt transforms dramatically when winter hits. During the colder months, massive expanding snowpacks form, creating towering ice walls right along the edge of the pavement. It narrows the track significantly, alters your sightlines, and demands a completely different approach to traction.
