How do I stop my Infiniti from overheating in summer traffic?
My Infiniti Q50 has been running hotter than normal during the summer months and last week the temperature gauge crept up while I was stuck in traffic on the way home. It did not hit the red but it was close enough that I pulled over and let it cool down which made me late and stressed. The AC also felt weaker during that time which I am guessing is related. I have had the coolant checked and the level seems fine but I am worried there is something else going on. I have been looking for trusted tips to stop your Infiniti overheating in summer traffic because this is only going to get worse as the weather heats up. What are the common causes on these cars? Should I be looking at the fan, the thermostat or the radiator itself? Also does sitting in stop and go traffic really put that much extra strain on the cooling system or is my car just showing its age? I would love to hear from other Infiniti owners who have dealt with this because I do not want to end up stranded on the side of the road. Any advice would be really helpful.
