I am interested in planting a small root vegetable farm this spring. I have been checking the gardening section of abodelook to get some vertical planters but I am not sure what plants to get. Between yams vs sweet potatoes, which one is easier for a beginner to grow in a container? I was told that sweet potatoes are more typical in the US, but yams are much more attractive to work with, as a DIY project.
